The group oversees and operates several protein analysis laboratories and has equipment at containment levels 2 and 3. This allows studies of potentially infectious protein and some of the equipment that we have access to includes:

- Typhoon Fluorescence Imager and ImageMaster III scanner (through IAH)

- Beckman DU650 UV spectrophotometer
- Perkin Elmer Fourier Transform Infra Red Spectrometer
