Pathogenesis and control of Mareks disease virus infection

Mareks Disease Virus (MDV) is a highly infectious tumourigenic herpesvirus virus of world wide economic importance. A collaborative project with Prof Tony Nash, Dr Bob Dalziel and Dr Helen Sang is aimed at increasing understanding of mechanisms of pathogenesis and the use of siRNA technology to develop disease resistant chickens.
