Location

The Institute forms part of the University of Edinburgh's Easter Bush Veterinary Campus, approximately 7miles/11km south of the centre of the City of Edinburgh.

At the heart of a growing cluster of bioscience organisations, the Institute has good transport links with Edinburgh, other parts of Scotland, and international destinations.

Road

From the North, West, and East, join the Edinburgh City bypass (A720). Take the bypass to Straiton Interchange and follow the A701 (sign-posted for Penicuik and Pe ebles) past IKEA, to Bilston. Continue straight on at the Bilston mini-roundabout and take a right at the lights onto A703, Seafield Moor Road. Take the next left and follow the road until you get to the Easter Bush campus.

The journey time from the centre of Edinburgh is 20-30mins. The taxi fare for this journey is approximately £15.

Bus

Easter Bush Veterinary Campus is currently served by 15A (hourly). In addition to which some peak time number 47 and 67 services serve the campus.

Rail

The nearest mainline station to Roslin is Edinburgh Waverley, which has regular services to all parts of the United Kingdom. Timetable information is available from Network Rail.

Air

Edinburgh Airport is approximately 8miles (13km) west of the City Centre and approximately 19miles (31km) north-west of Roslin. Airport Information can be contacted on 0131 333 1000.

There is an airport taxi rank at the Terminal and a regular Airport Bus service to the City Centre (Waverley Bridge). The taxi fare for this journey is approximately £27. Car hire is also available at the airport. The journey time to the City Centre is about 30mins, and to Roslin is 20mins.
